A Great Mistake

We got some unexpected good news today at the hospital...the scales in the delivery room were off by a pound, so Luke really weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces!!! Doesn't that sound so much better? He would have been one big baby if he had cooked for 5 1/2 more weeks! He's down to 4-13, but now that he's getting milk through the feeding tube, he'll hopefully gain it back fast!

He's also completely off the oxygen! It just gets better and better!

I thought he should have been more around 5 lbs. for a 35 weeker!! But, hey what do I know?! I work with babies that are as small as 11 ozs. so don't ask me!! Luke is precious!

that is the craziest thing i've heard in a while! Wonder how they figured that out and how many babies had the wrong weight!?! Prayers that he puts on weight fast!

Praise the Lord for inaccurate scales! And for such great news about him being off of the oxygen!! I hope the news just gets better and better from here on out. Cate was only 5 lb. 7 oz. when she was born early and lost almost a pound after birth...she's a little chunky monkey now and you'd never know she had so much catching up to do. I know Luke will catch up and be a big, strong little man too! He's such a precious thing!

YAY! I am so glad to hear that. Everything is in Gods Hands. He will not be in preemie clothes long at all. I think that my Mom is coming tomorrow and bringing them. I will call you and see when a good time to come by is...:)

WOW!!! What a detail - what an amazing story! You've been and will continue to be in our prayers. Still can't believe Luke beat Baby Ray to the finish line!

Much love, Emily

YAY for an extra pound! That is a big difference. I am so glad little luke is breathing on his own and able to take your milk. He will fatten up in no time! I know you are looking forward to the day you can count the rolls on his legs! Praise the Lord he is doing so well. I loved the pictures of him. He is beautiful. You look incredible too! I can't believe you just had a baby and without and epidural! You are brave!
